First Post

Hey everyone! My name is Christina Eddins and I am 19 years old and I am a sophomore here at South Alabama. I am majoring in Elementary Education and I hope to teach first grade. I am from the small town of Satsuma, where everybody knows everybody, but even though I hate it at times I would not trade it for the world. There is a lot to say about small town people. :)

Changes...
Here lately, my life has been a little bit of a world wind I guess you would say. My boyfriend found out last November that he had cancer, and has been battling it for the past 8 months. This "bad news" has changed my life in more ways than one.
It has made me a much stronger person, and has made me appreciate things much more than I have ever appreciated anything in my life. He recently had a stem cell transplant and was in Houston, Texas for 3 months, which was also something that taught me a lot. We had never been apart for more than a week before then, and it was truly the most challenging thing I've ever faced in my life with the condition he was in and being five hundred miles apart. So life has been a little bit crazy for me, but he has recently come home, and is getting stronger everyday.
My major...
I chose Elementary Education because I have always loved working with kids, and I want to make a difference in a child's life everyday. I know that may sound cliche, but it is something I have always wanted to do because I have grown up in the "teaching environment" and I cannot wait to be a teacher and I have my OWN classroom and make some sort of difference!
